Rachel Nevin

I’ve been part of DuBois Levias Law Group for more than 10 years and have more than 20 years of experience in family law. An attorney I previously worked with joined DuBois Levias and encouraged me to apply. Right away, I noticed the team-oriented atmosphere and the firm’s appreciation for work-life balance, and I knew I wanted to be part of this team.

I began my legal career as a family law legal assistant before becoming a paralegal. It has been one of the most rewarding careers I could imagine. We truly find creative solutions to what can initially feel like impossible problems. When clients first come to us, they are often overwhelmed, scared, emotionally drained, and unable to envision the future. It is incredibly rewarding to watch people regain their confidence, develop a vision for themselves and their future, and ultimately rediscover their spark.

I come from a large blended family that worked together successfully to create a positive experience for all of us children. Growing up, I believed the mothers of my non-biological siblings were my “aunts,” which gave me a unique perspective on family and the many forms it can take.

I was born in Washington and moved to Mississippi as a young child after my parents separated. I returned to Washington as an adult and have lived here ever since. This is the state where I raised my children, and it will always feel like home to me.

Outside of work, I am passionate about travel and on a mission to collect as many passport stamps as possible. I also enjoy jigsaw puzzles, exploring the outdoors, and hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest. I have two adult children who are pursuing their dreams in different parts of the country. My son lives in Scottsdale, and my daughter is attending the MFA program at Syracuse University in New York.
