Separation can be the best solution for couples and their families—I know that from personal experience. I grew up in a very dysfunctional family. My parents communicated violently with one another and made weekly threats of separation. Their inability to either communicate in a healthy way or dissolve their marriage caused significant pain and suffering, not only for them, but for our entire family.
I work in family law because I hope my story can help others build healthier, more peaceful lives. It is incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact we can have on people. In one custody trial I helped support, I knew the process would be long and emotionally taxing for everyone involved, especially the child. I ordered small toys and activities for the child to use during the proceedings, and it helped make the experience much easier for them.
Everyone at DuBois Levias Law Group genuinely cares about one another and about our clients. Being surrounded by goal-oriented people who share my values motivates me, fuels my work, and keeps me focused on my future goals.
I am an aspiring attorney and currently a J.D. candidate at Seattle University School of Law, Class of 2026. In college, my business writing and ethics professor—who was also an attorney—assigned a tremendous amount of coursework connected to case law. She noticed how engaged I was and encouraged me to pursue a legal career. Family law became my primary interest after learning how important attorneys can be in helping families and children reach healthier outcomes.
I was born and raised in Seattle, and I love the weather, the food, and living near the Puget Sound. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Washington with dual degrees in marketing and management. During college, I received the “Marketing Guru Award” for creating a startup restaurant competition inspired by the television show Shark Tank. After graduation, I also created a campaign that raised more than $70,000 to help cover medical expenses for a professor of mine who became seriously ill.
I spend much of my free time involved in community activism. Working alongside a local representative, we helped pass a permit-to-purchase bill requiring firearm safety training. I also serve as a volunteer community advocate with the Civil Survival Project.
Stand-up comedy and improv help remind me to focus on humor and connection in life. I am also a certified scuba diver and have explored both the Red Sea and the Puget Sound. My partner and I recently celebrated our three-year anniversary, and the Seattle Aquarium remains one of our favorite places to visit together.
