Amanda Petty
Legal Assistant
Law is not my first career, but I’ve always been intrigued by the many moving parts in this profession. I like complexity. I originally started working in real estate with foreclosures when the market crashed back in 2008.
I came to DuBois Levias Law Group for an unusual but powerful reason. First because of Amanda’s affiliation with Civil Survival. Then because my mom, Renata Abramson, died tragically in a house fire in 2023 under suspicious circumstances. Challenging the way our society treats mothers in prison, The IF Project was co-created and inspired by my mom. I couldn’t be prouder of the thousands of lives that have been changed through her ripple effect. I’ve committed my life to seeking justice in her name.
Amanda did a tribute interview for The Ripple Haven with Kim Bogucki, who heads the IF Project.
The company culture at DLLG is a breath of fresh air. It’s evident that the people who work here are happy. I’m excited to be part of such an amazing team.
I’ve been married twice (crossing fingers that third time’s the charm) and now have a puppy and room to focus on my future. A Seattle Seahawks fan, I dig watching NFL or enjoying the sunshine with a tasty adult beverage. I also like working on cars and writing poetry.
I love living in Seattle too, with the views and beautiful sunsets backdropped by the city’s skyline and Mount Rainier.
