Michelle Fontenot and her assistant, Jason, worked diligently for over 18 months providing guidance and support through one of the most difficult times in my life. Throughout the entire process, they always had my children’s best interest at heart. Even when I was emotional, confused, and afraid, they were patient, calm, and compassionate. I could not have gotten better representation and would recommend them to anyone. ~Alyson M.
My experience with Dubois Cary has been Amazing. I was very blessed to be represented by Michelle Fontenot. Michelle has not only been my attorney, she was my guidance during my difficult ordeal. She took time out of her busy day to thoroughly explain each process/step. She is a thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable attorney who always helped me resolve my legal challenges. Michelle is a committed and attentive attorney. She is very ethical and trustworthy. I would highly recommend Michelle Fontenot for legal services. ~Eden K.
Michelle Fontenot is second to none. My wife and I had to deal very unexpectedly with what amounted to completely unfounded and untrue allegations of possible child abuse. The doctor’s exam only revealed healed mosquito bites. The real abuse was from the invasion of privacy that subsequently occurred as the CPS rep conducted a series of questioning that greatly upset our kids. It was amazing to us to see just how easy it is to totally disrupt a family by just picking up the phone. The pain and anguish our family was put through needed a firm and legal response. That’s where attorney Michelle Fontenot came in. She met our kids and got to know our family. Her knowledge of child therapy/emotional issues is amazing. She also completely understands the law and psychology schools operate under. I can not express how glad we were to have Michelle in our corner. We recommend her 100% whole heartedly! Thank you Michelle. ~DCLG Client on Avvo
An excellent attorney. Michelle Fontenot recently helped me through a tricky and lengthy divorce. It was a complex case. Not only was it interstate (WA and NY) involving assets both in the US and UK, but also involved grappling with the peculiarities of negotiating with an ex-spouse who worked for an international institution with its own legal requirements. Michelle was fantastic throughout – as was her paralegal. Her tenacity, skill and [personality] – made her the perfect choice to represent me. I would have no hesitation in recommending her. ~Missy on Avvohttps://duboislaw.net/wp-admin/media-upload.php?post_id=1495&type=image&TB_iframe=1

I’m extremely glad I sought out DuBois Cary when I started my divorce. Facing an unusual case – dealing with a spouse in a different state, who worked for an international organization – Michelle Fontenot was fantastic. Alongside her excellent paralegal, Jason Evans, she demonstrated tenacity, fairness and compassion. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her in the future. ~M. Douglas
I am a 34yr old male and am extremely proud to say thanks to Michelle Fontenot and Jason Evans of the DuBois Cary Law Group I have full parental rights and time w/ my 2yr old son. Michelle is extremely professional, caring, and an excellent teacher in guiding me through this horrible legal process. Both Michelle and Jason made the process that much easier to deal with the stress involved. Both of them were there for me the entire process, promptly answering emails, phone calls or even just needing someone to vent to. I feel like I owe Michelle and Jason my life for the time they had invested into my family. I will be paying them for years to come but you cannot price on your child’s safety and knowing their in the best hands possible. The family law process is stressful, horrible, emotionally straining – something i wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy, but having Michelle and Jason’s guidance through it made it that much easier. Her strategic plan of attack, process of approaching issues and making sure everything is on time, extremely professional. Also dealt with the financing dept Terry, again awesome person. Understanding what’s going on and spending her time to talk with me not only about finances but about how my son is doing throughout the process, very nice and understanding, caring person. I can go on for hrs, bottom line if you’re looking for legal assistance dealing with family law issue definitely contact Michelle Fontenot. Out of all the lawyers I contacted in the beginning Michelle was the only person who seemed to actually care and not just wanted to take my money. Michelle and Jason and whole DuBois Cary Law Group – thank you from me and my son. ~Bill S.
Professional, reliable and trustworthy with more experience than meets the eye. Michelle represented me through an unfortunate and unusual situation involving family law that spanned more than 8 months. It involved a petition for a protection order and a difficult divorce. During that time, I worked with her regularly, each month, if each week. I was very impressed with her professionalism. She is ultra-reliable and her judgment proved to be very keen. Besides planning and preparing for my case, there were several on-the-spot moments where she proved to think very quickly on her feet and offer what turned-out to be very sound advice. She is very good at what she does and responds quickly to clients’ needs. I have no real critiques. It was hard to select a family law lawyer out of nowhere when I needed one. A friend recommended the DuBois Cary firm and attorney Michelle Fontenot, and paralegal, Jason Evans, were teamed with me. They represent an ideal legal team in my opinion. Additionally, while the scores on this site suggest that Michelle lacks a little in experience, her career before becoming an attorney was one where she saw a very different, but equally important, side family law. Her experience in this field is deeper than it appears and perhaps more well-rounded than that of most other family law attorneys. I really felt secure with her. ~Family Client on Avvo
My situation was difficult as I was dealing with some relatives who were attempting to take custody of my daughter from me based on false accusations, etc…while we were dealing with family issues. Michelle Fontonot, my attorney helped me to keep focused on what was important, while defending me and my rights as a parent in court. She was very knowledgeable of the law, well prepared, professional and respectful to all parties involved. Jason, her paralegal spent many hours helping me to prepare my paperwork. The office staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Michelle and The DuBois Cary Law Group to anyone needing a good family law lawyer. Because of their efforts I am able to see and be involved in my child’s life. Thank You! ~E. Huff Jr.
